Welcome 👋
New here? See something you like? Got questions? You’re in the right place.
This page covers the basics of how to buy art, what the labels mean, and how to reach us fast.
Is the art for sale?
Yes — unless a label says NFS (Not For Sale).
If you’re not sure, ask. We’ll confirm in seconds.
Pricing + negotiation
Artists set their own prices, and many artists are open to a conversation if you love something but the price is a stretch.
To inquire, talk to the gallerist Jessica Accamando or Gallery Manager Carin O’Hara. We’ll help you with:
-
price questions
-
offers/negotiation
-
payment options
-
shipping/pickup logistics

Ask about literally anything: price, availability, the artist, the medium, sizes, payment, shipping, or “what am I even looking at?” 😄
What does a red dot mean?
If you see a red dot on an art label, that piece is sold.
(If you’re heartbroken, tell us — sometimes the artist has additional work available, or can make something similar.)
If you purchase a piece
Most work stays on view until the show ends — then we arrange:
-
local pickup, or
-
shipping/delivery (we’ll coordinate details and costs with you)
If you need something sooner (like a gift deadline), ask and we’ll see what’s possible.
Meet the artist (sometimes!)
When local artists sell work, they’re usually very excited — and many would love to:
-
meet you (when schedules allow), or
-
receive a photo of you with the piece installed
If you’re into that, we’ll gladly pass it along.
What your purchase supports
When you purchase art here, you support the art community — locally and beyond. Artists share a commission with the gallery on each sale, which helps keep the lights on and the work on the walls.
Our exhibitions typically include a mix of local and national artists, and we’ve even shown global artists.
About Not Shockboxx
Not Shockboxx is a nonprofit gallery that exists to keep space for art alive — especially art that takes risks, pushes boundaries, and doesn’t always fit the “living room wall” category.
That mission matters to us, and your support keeps it possible.
A few gallery notes
Please don’t touch the art. (Even clean hands can damage surfaces over time.)
Yes, there are cameras in the gallery.
Not in a creepy way — in a “protect the art + protect our artists + our insurance requires it” way.
Yes, pets are welcome. We’re dog people.
Can I take photos and post?
Yes, please do. We love it when you share and tag us: @notshockboxx
(If an artist has a “no photos” request for a specific piece, it’ll be noted — and we’ll let you know.)
