Mommy Dearest explored the broken, bizarre, painful and occasionally hilarious realities of family life. Through painting, photography, ceramics, sculpture and mixed media, the exhibition confronted motherhood, inherited trauma, grief, control and the complicated relationships that shape who we become.
Pray the Gay Away used humor, satire and fearless honesty to confront conversion therapy, homophobia and the hypocrisy of trying to “fix” queerness. Unapologetic and intentionally uncomfortable, the exhibition celebrated queer voices, allyship and art’s power to rattle cages.
