Knot Sorry

There was never anything delicate about this.

Knot Sorry pulled fiber art out of the polite, domestic corner and into the spotlight where it belongs: bold, labor-intensive, intimate and impossible to ignore. Through quilting, embroidery, weaving, crochet, sewing, sculptural textiles and mixed media, the exhibition explored fiber not simply as decoration, but as a language.

These works transformed thread into memory, protest, identity, obsession and care. They asked viewers to slow down and notice the labor in every stitch, the tension in every knot and the histories woven into every surface. Together, they blurred the line between craft and fine art, demonstrating that softness can carry weight and that handmade work can be deeply personal, unapologetically confrontational and impossible to dismiss.

Knot Sorry opened at Not Shockboxx on August 8, 2026, and remained on view through September 7. The exhibition also included an artist talk and a Fiber Arts Pop-up celebrating the artists, artisans and processes behind the work.

No apologies. No minimizing. Knot Sorry.
